Religion is not an end

Religious and other spiritual practices, traditions and rituals often point to a greater truth and reality. They are not ends in themselves. Re Union with the One true God is our destiny.

Everything should serve that end, and not become ends in themselves. Otherwise they become ‘manna’ that turns rotten, good intentions that turn bad, sweet waters that turn sour.
