A journey of ten steps for one person may take another a thousand.
That doesn’t make the first person better, wiser, or more favoured. It simply means the life expressing through them is doing so differently. At a different rate. Through a different terrain.
There is a time and a season for all things. We are each asked to walk to the measure of light we have been given — no more, no less. The invitation is not to walk faster. It is to walk truly.
Comparison is the enemy of this.
The moment you begin measuring your path against someone else’s, you have already left your path. You are now on a road that belongs to no one — not to them, not to you — a road constructed entirely from the gap between where you are and where you imagine you should be.
That road leads nowhere.
Your rhythm is not a deficiency. Your pace is not a problem to be solved. The light you are walking in is exactly the light available to you at this point in the journey — and that light is sufficient for the step directly in front of you.
Not the step ten ahead. Not the step someone else is on.
The one in front of you now.
Follow your rhythm. Stay true to your pace.
This is not resignation. This is precision. The life in you knows the way it needs to unfold. The only thing that disrupts it is the insistence that it should be unfolding differently.
We all arrive in the end. The end, it turns out, is not a destination but a quality — the quality of Love, which is available at every step, not only the final one.
